International players in Nike World Series ad

Last night while watching the World Series here in Panama I saw an ad that featured about 10 players from different teams singing snatches of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” in sequence. The interesting thing was that each one was from a different country, and sang his bit in his native language. As the ad went by fairly quickly and I wasn’t too close to the TV, I wasn’t able to identify all of them. Ones I recognized for sure were Graeme Lloyd (Australia), Andruw Jones (Curacao, singing in Dutch), and Mark McGwire. There were several different Latin American and Asian players as well.

I assume this same ad is playing in the US. Can someone help me out with identifying the rest of the players?

A-Rod was in there…and I think Pudge Rodriguez, too

Cool commercial…

Chan Ho Park (S. Korea) of the Dodgers and I am pretty sure (I only saw it once) Kazahiro Sasaki (Japan) of Seattle.

Here:

AthleteTeam/Language, in order of appearance:
Ken Griffey Jr. Cincinnati Reds English
Alex Rodriguez Texas Rangers Spanish
Chan Ho Park Los Angeles Dodgers Korean
Kazuhiro Sasaki Seattle Mariners Japanese
Graeme Lloyd Montreal Expos English (Australian)
Eric Gagne Los Angeles Dodgers French
Andruw Jones Atlanta Braves Dutch
John Franco New York Mets Italian
Ivan Rodriguez Texas Rangers Spanish
Mark McGwire St. Louis Cardinals English

I also think that it’s a great ad.

Great! Thanks a lot, especially MinkMan.

Nationalities: Griffey, A-Rod, Franco, and McGwire were all born in the US; I-Rod/Puerto Rico, Park/Korea, Sasaki/Japan, Lloyd/Australia, Jones/Curacao, Gagne/French Canadian.

Hey, thanks. I was wondering about that too.

Franco was born in the U.S. (Queens, or Brooklyn, IIRC), but he’s singing in Italian. When I saw that ad last night, it made me smile. What a cool concept.
