Internet and the law

I’m conducting a poll for subject(s) I can do a paper on for the class Topics in the Law of Cyberspace.
This will be a fairly substantial piece of work, at least 40 pages in length and research intensive.

So I thought I’d go to the source, fellow geeks of the internet, to get some ideas for a paper. You’ve been around, you’ve explored the cyber cafes, you’ve chatted on message boards and even moderate your own message boards. You own websites, host websites, write code for websites and some of you are helping to bring in the next generation of computers to the market.

So what problems do you see in the law that needs to be examined? What areas are simply moving too fast for law to keep up with? Where have you said “boy I wish I could do X” or “I wonder why they’re legally allowed to do X”? What changes have you seen that have been problematic that need to be rectified and what holes are so gaping you could drive Deep Blue through it?

Thanks all for your help and insight.
