Internet Detective (Game)

No sweat.
The website for the photo is the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. Coupled with the famous architect hint, I googled “swiss architect” and that got me Le Corbusier right off.
A little poking got me the name of the building. Finding the address was a little harder, but a couple minutes of digging brought it up.
Then, my error. I should have posted right away. Instead, I took my son to Cub Scouts, since the refresh of this site was sooo farking slow.
Came home, saw the additional hint of “le”, and I knew I had it. Imagine my chagrin, when my preview of the post revealed keturah’s entry in front of mine… :smack:

I cling to a slim hope. There is a slight difference in the spellings provided…
So, Link - who has the ** correct** answer?

Egad!

Keturah - you got me again!!!

:smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

The spelling doesn’t make a difference, as oe and ö can be used interchangeably in german. But your solution is more elegant than being married to an architect.
Let’s call it a draw.

Ahh, but your coding was better. Please ask us a question, inquiring minds want to search.

Alrighty then.

Thisfinely feathered fellow flew.
When?
Where?
How far?
1st hint: No German this time. Strictly English.

I´m on the trail, it´s just a matter of time.

I´m quite sure of WHERE, I can guess HOW FAR  but the date eludes me… I´ll have to keep digging.

Ok, from the picture I believe this was shot in Europe and it brings to mind one of those wacky flying contraption festivals/contests where everybody attempts to fly off the end of a pier? I know of a couple of these contests but can’t think of their names for the life of me.
I believe he “flew” about 7 feet and then plummetted straight down about another 20 feet off the pier he’s standing on.
Am I warm?

Oops… =/

Anyway, no need to say I´m right, I AM RIGHT

My question is: what is the size of a flying peanut?

It’s roughly 6 feet tall.

Also:

WEIGHT: 190 kg
PAYLOAD: 45 kg
SPEED: 80 kts.
ENDURANCE: 3 hours

And it looks like this.

From these two pictures can you deduce

  • this man’s full name
  • occupation
  • and what the boy is holding.

H.H. (P.D.)

H.T.B.

By the way
H.H. are his initials (P.D. is his German title)

HTB (fur kinder) are the initials (german) for what the boy is holding

Um, devilsknew I don’t think you’re supposed to post one unless you’ve answered the previous one correctly (and were the first to do so).

Rules? Didn’t know…Sorry! ah welll, ignore or solve it’s up to you!

devilsknew, just so you know, I wasn’t trying to come down on you personally. I was just trying to keep missing_link’s thread from degenerating into chaos. (Plus, I’m anxiously waiting to see if my flying peanut answer is correct so I can post my question!)

I concur on the no posting till you have been proven correct.

Now, how the hell did you guys manage to solve two of them in the itty-bitty afternoon I was gone? Dang.

Anyway, I’m up for he next one, hope it starts soon.

A darn from me too, just went to sleep for like 4 hours and two riddles are through. I don’t even dare to go to the bathroom anymore from now on.
