I keep getting the message " This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". I’ve searched Microsoft’s web site and can only find infor on IE4. Does anyone have any suggestions?
try getting IE 5.5. Microsoft releases new versions of IE for that very reason… sometimes programs just don’t run th way they should. If that doesn’t work, try out Netscape
I’d suggest downloading and installing IE 5.5. Maybe this will correct your problems.
That’s a standard error message. We need to know what it is that you’re doing just BEFORE you get that message. Are you Searching from the Address Bar, for example?
Try turning off your computer, wait a minute & turn it back on.
Also, why don’t you click the DETAILS button when you get a message & see what file its bitching about?
I downloaded 5.5 which seemed to work for a while but now it’s doing it again. Shutting down and rebooting doesn’t help. The details say "Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff9d709. Should I uninstall 5.5 and try again?
