But is that a just a misspelling, a typo or a real homonym? Or perhaps just a homophone because of regional pronunciation? Last I heard, porn wasn’t a verb. (But maybe it could be. Mmmmm.) Maybe the thieves could try to fence the stolen goods at obscenely low (or high) prices.

typos don’t bug me so much; which is good because I commit them all too often. It’s the homonym mistakes and creative spelling of more coloquially used words that bug me. I see a lot of weird ones:
peeked for piqued
shutter for shudder
sight for (web)site
lense for lens
Not really misspellings, but mis-meme-ings: “virii” and “penii.”
Does anyone really believe these are legit plurals, or are they just being cute?
Ah, interesting. So that’s what those things are called. I would assume, however, that it would be pretty clear from the context whether the person really means a segway or whether they’re misspelling segue.
