Intimidation: the MMP

You’re She Devil?

Wait… Sports and Religion are distinct entities? :dubious::confused: (says the avid sports fan…)

Ditto again!

I love our new system that sends voicemails to our email. Somehow listening to the message from an email is much less nerve wracking.

Really? How weird am I?

Saying no to reasonable requests for various reasons. It’s not like I am just saying no willy-nilly but just because someone asks me to do something doesn’t mean I have to. I do it, I practice saying no, and it’s a skill all adults should have. People think I am so confident in doing it and so good at it, when I am nervous too.

But dammit, I do it!

I decided it was time to quit using the drill press for awhile when the shavings of metal flying off were so hot that they started leaving tiny blisters on my arms. :dubious:

Now, on to dremeling.

I often find just talking to people intimidating. Not just strangers - often friends, too. It’s most unfortunate.

I highly recommend the novel, actually. Far better than the movie which is kind of…strident.

I watched bits of the Puppy Bowl yesterday, so no sports for me.

I also like my voicemails on e-mail. I just find it more comfortable for some reason.

I am also intimidated by the idea of packing and moving. I’ve moved an ungodly amount in my life and still hate doing it.

My husband clicked on the Puppy Bowl a couple of times, and it drove our puglet crazy! Our TV is in a corner against the front wall of the house, so when Higgs saw the puppies and heard any barking, she’d run to the family room window (it’s the only one low enough for her to see out) and bark like crazy at the “invaders” who dared to come in her yard. Except she didn’t see them, and I think she was confused. Silly dog.

M morning has gone quickly, but it’s been a challenge. I think I’m finally caught up on one project, and I’ve got a major mess of a drawing from another project that’s just waiting to be corrected. It’s gonna be a long afteroon, I fear.

And it’s definitely a Monday. ugh.

When Star Trek transporter technology is perfected, I’m going to use it to start a moving company. I’ll be rich, I tell ya, RICH! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!

Me, I’m intimidated by contact with other human beings. Totally in the wrong field of work for that phobia, I know.

::waves enthusiastically:: Hi 'mika!!

Our team won so Og loves us best or sumpin lik dat.
Sah-kid saw my chocolate drawer yesterday and said nobody needs that much chocolate. I have 4 and a half months to get that boy trained before I send him out into the world. How did I ever miss the lesson on women and chocolate?

Once, many years ago when he was still small, he told me I was acting like a bitch.
I said, ‘little boy, if you think this is bitch you have a lot to learn and I think it’s time I teach you’.
He was a quick study, it didn’t take long.

How did I miss the importance of chocolate?

Early, early, early for my doctors appointment. Gotta kill some time.

afternoon blurfage

sangfroid it’s all a consequence of our lawsuit happy society alas. Welcome, by the way. You are now one of us!

{{{mika}}} LTNS! How ya been.

So I got my ears washed out this mornin’. That was the reason for the doc. I shoulda taken a pic of all the gunk that came out of especially my right ear and posted it. A sure fire TMI of The Week Award it woulda been!

Oh and I am at da cave. I’ve been here since around two actually takin’ care of paperirk stuff that’s just as easily done here as at irk. Plus I had an appointment and well, it was closer to da cave than the orifice so there ya have it.

Isn’t there a song about that?

Howdy, all. Up and at irk.

I’m intimidated by ending phone calls… I say goodbye, and the other person starts saying something, so I answer that, then say “Well, I’ll talk to you later.” “See ya.” “Goodbye!” “Okay, well…”

AUUUGH.

Thanks for sharing.

Home safe, post later.

Home, but my sweetie had to go back to the office. He’s got to go to PA tomorrow - not Johnstown - some place closer to Phila - and he forgot the stuff he’s supposed to be taking. Since picking it up at the office in the morning would add another hour to an already too-loong-day, he’s gone back to get it now. So I’m having qualitypuppeh time.

Some stuff I ordered on Firday has arrived today! A new pair of jeans, a cardigan, and a t-shirt that says “I’m just a freakin’ ray of sunshine!” I’ve got another shirt coming - maybe tomorrow? Yay!

I’s tahred - I see an early night tonight. Probably no melatonin, tho - lately it gives me bizarro dreams.

Happy Monday all,

I have two bits of news

Lunch with the Wife was actually not bad, she is not sure if she wants a divorce yet :dubious:

You all may remember the story I told about the girl and the synthetic weed. Well it is on CNN’s website, sorry for the lack of link but I am on teh stupit tablet. Apparently her Sister sent in a series of Ireports and they did their own story on it. If any are interested you can search CNN’S Website and look for Emily Bauer or synthetic weed/marijuana. Her family has also started a group called SAFE (synthetic awareness for Emily). Be forewarned she is not well and has serious brain damage, might need a parental preview before you let the kiddies read it. I would welcome someone setting a link and would love to hear what my fellow Mumpers think.

What intimidates me? I have stagefright, yep me who has spent his whole life on or around stages gets terrified by even the thought of performing in front of people. I used to close my eyes to sing, which caused me to fall of the stage once.

Hope all are well

Cheers

Jim

I think the whole delay was deliberately rigged to sabotage would-be Elementary viewers by forcing football onto our DVRs when we thought we were recording something worth watching. East Coast people either had to stay up past 11 or just miss the episode altogether, too. Fortunately for me, I’m on the West Coast, but I had to endure over an hour of football-related crud to be able to catch what I wanted to see.

Bad network schedulers, bad!
