Dude, if ever there was a Squib on your list, it’s Cliff.
Come on, Albert’s totally a dark wizard - check him out in Mort. And he’s all about personal gain - while he may have become loyal to Death, he only stayed with him initially because he only had a few days left to live in the real world. But ok, the Bursar can be in Ravenclaw - thinking about it, he is very intelligent when he’s not dolally.
Cecil: Ravenclaw—or maybe Slytherin
Ed: Hufflepuff
Julia - Gryffindor
Suzanne - Slytherin
Mary Jo - Gryffindor
Charlene - Hufflepuff
Anthony - Gryffindor
I don’t peg Albert as a dark wizard. Sure, I’ve read Mort, but I’m thinking Susan here; he’s just so Hufflepuff in those books.
And yes, the Bursar is Ravenclaw. Of course he’s Ravenclaw. Loony Lovegood, anyone?
To outgeek my previous entry:

Homsar - your guess is as good as mine
Xander is on the cusp. He could be either, but personally I see him as a Hufflepuff. I love him, and he has always stood by Buffy and the rest of the Scoobies in the face of danger, but he also has some inner turmoil. Thinking he’s going to turn into his family, running away right before his wedding, and stuff like that. In the later seasons, he is Gryffindorish (I didn’t see all of 6 and 7, so I’m a bit spotty). In the beginning of the series I think he’s more of a Hufflepuff. As he grows up, his Gryffindor qualities come out much more. (Also, I’m not trying to lessen Xander’s role by putting him in Hufflepuff. I know it is sometimes considered the Leftovers’ house, as well as the uninmportant one, but I don’t know why. I like Hufflepuff.)
I don’t think of Willow as a Hermione-minded character, simply because Hermione’s Gryffindor standing (IMO) comes from her need to do the right thing, her way (SPEW, constant lecturing, etc.) While Hermione is interested mostly in the application of knowledge, I think Willow is more interested in the knowledge itself. Willow can act bravely and selflessly (raising Buffy from the dead, re-souling Angel), but I don’t think that’s enough to put her in Gryffindor. She is also much more of an introvert, and I think Gryffindors are more in-your-face people.
Giles, I think would have been a Slytherin during his Ripper years, but the more I’m thinking about it, the less I believe it was ambition that drove him rather than knowledge and a craving for a less stuffy lifestyle than the Watcher-hood he was doomed to. The core Scoobies (which to me are Xander, Willow, Giles, and Buffy) act with courage. It’s part of the fighting evil demons thing. But they’re multifaceted, and I don’t think that’s reason enough to put them all in Gryffindor.
Uhuh. I probably spent way too much time on justifying my choices. Haven’t seen any reruns in a long while though, so it’s possible I’m simplifying the way I remember them. With my memory, it’s possible.
We’ll have to agree to disagree on that one. To me, he’s as Slytheriney and Slytherines get.
Why the hatin’ on Pooh? He’s no Slytherin or Hufflepuff.
Who nearly caught the Woozle?
Who found Eeyore’s tail?
Who discovered the North Pole?
Who rescued Piglet during the flood?
Who wasn’t really that scared about meeting a Heffalump?
Pooh!
Pooh did it!
Pooh, that’s who.
He’s Gryffindor all the way. After all, he is that sort of bear.
I don’t think you’re lessening Xander, but I do think you’re misrepresenting him. He and Willow just seem Gryffindor through and through to me - always ready to grab the weapons and go kill something evil on a moment’s notice. Giles is definitely more Ravenclaw than Willow, and he would have been Ravenclaw when he was eleven years old.
On the other hand, if the question were “Give each Scooby a house, and you can’t have two the same”, I’d have put Buffy in Gryffindor, Xander in Hufflepuff, Willow in Ravenclaw, and Giles in Slytherin. And Willow and Giles can switch houses without much difficulty.
Emphasis mine. Snarl. (Also I think you meant “as”, not “and”.)
Oh lighten up, Spelly McSpeller
