Mostly I agree. Leonard pursues Penny through a serious kind of personal bravery. Raj is clever, but a bit of a coward, and is thereby relegated to Hufflepuff. Early-season Howard is kinda evil in his pursuit of women-as-objects, but I just don’t see the kind of personal ambition in Howard Wolowitz, except maybe in his ambition to someday, finally, get laid. I’m not exactly sure where to put him, except maybe Ravenclaw. Penny is indeed hardworking (how long has it been since her last acting gig?) and loyal to her friends, and is totally a Hufflepuff. AFF is singlemindedly loyal to her Penny, but she’s probably more clever than loyal and so I can’t really argue with Ravenclaw. And Bernadette surely is smart enough to be a Ravenclaw, maybe enough to overcome her bravery and hard work in breaking Howard’s chauvinist side and standing up to his mother.
But Sheldon in Ravenclaw? No, no way. Sheldon is, above all things, ambitious. He wants to be recognized as the most brilliant person on earth, he suffers no fools, and he refuses to lose at anything, even meaningless arguments. Sheldon Cooper is a Slytherin, full stop.

I have to agree with you about Sheldon being in Slytherin. Leonard once said that Sheldon is one lab accident from being a supervillain. So I humbly change my sorting.

Howard isn’t ambitious enough to be a Slytherin. He’s got only a master’s degree, after all. Maybe a Hufflepuff.
