iPod arm band recs needed

Does anyone use an arm band in the gym with an iPod?
I have the big ol’ 2G but I really would like to have a arm band when it warm up a bit, so I can jog outdoors with it?

I am just wondering if any of the ones on the market work?

Like this?

…so many typos…I am ashamed.

Not sure what type of model “the big ol 2G” is, but if you’re talking about a hard-drive based iPod (as opposed to the shuffle or Nano), from what I’ve read they’re not very jogging-friendly, with or without an arm band. I kept an eye on those for a couple years because I, too, wanted to go jog with an iPod, but all the reports indicated that they skipped.

The memory based ones, on the other hand, have no moving parts, so they’re fine. I have a Nano and an armband, and the only thing I don’t like about it is that the arm band isn’t very convenient if you want to change the song or turn up the volume, and the arm band doesn’t fit over clothing very well. It’s great when it’s warm enough to wear a short-sleeve T-shirt, but anything else it’s a hassle.

I use my Mini in the pool  The arm band is huge, but it works nice.

I had an arm band for my mini. It worked OK nothing to write home about. My Nano has a silcon carrier with a neck strap So far I am very happy with that, but for working out I may get an armband.
