I have recently purchased an Apple ipod (5G MP3 player / hard drive). I have been told that they mark easily and I should get a case to protect it.
I have searched online and there are many different models to choose from. I am wondering if any of you ipod users have any input to the type of case that works best. I want it for protection and possibly to clip on a belt. (not sure about that part - maybe just put it in pocket)

I use the one here, with the belt clip.
They do scratch easily… The only real downside I have seen.
btw, how long can you listen to your ipod after a full charge?

The one time I ran the battery down, I think it lasted about 5 hours - it died in the middle of a trans-Pacific flight. It was just after I got it though, so it’s possible that a few charge/discharge cycles would get the battery better conditioned. This is a 20-gig unit, by the way.
As for the case, I use a simple generic belt pouch intended for compact cameras because I already had it. Works well enough.
