Not sure if this is Cafe or not. After many years of absence I’ve gotten back into irc again. Anyone have good channel recommendations? Is there a SDMB specific channel even?
Any suggestions are welcome, but I also like scifi, writing, turtles, fun new sports like parkour and slacklining, math, science, philosophy, and meta stuff.
Used to be. Not any more.
Last I looked at IRC, it had pretty much been ruined by assholes battling over channel control. There may be plenty of active discussion forums, but it seems like any that reach enough activity to get decent conversations going inevitably get overrun by 13-year-olds with a grudge against the world.
Does this mean puberty books now have a chapter on the effect of hormones on your Internet connection?
