Does any commercial radio station play music from any of the later Rush albums?
The Roll the Bones album got limited airplay with ‘Dreamline’ and ‘Bravado’ on the local rock station in Washington, DC at the time.
Beyond that, not so much in my experience. A few plays when an album is released and then nothing.
You mean in America?
I don’t think Clearwater considers Rush ‘Top 40’, so we’re not ever gonna hear it. (I don’t live in an area big enough to have ‘real’ stations, that don’t just play formatted crap.)
In Canada you’re going to hear it because of Cancon regulations (30% of songs have to be by Canadian artists).
The great thing about the internet is that you can listen to radio stations in other places, too…if you really want to.
Only 3 or 4 Rush songs get much airplay on rack radio here, and they’re all songs from the 70s or 80s.
When a new CD is released, one track will get a tiny bit of airplay, but a few months later? It’s back to “Close to the Heart” and “Tom Sawyer.”
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Rush song on the radio here in Australia.
I’ve heard Far Cry once or twice on one of the classic rock stations here in the Seattle area.
