No chance of it in my neck of the woods. It won’t get nearly cold enough to turn any of the rain that is going to be falling in the next couple of days into the white stuff. Works for me.
Sounds the same as what Berlin, NH, will be.
Even if it’s gloomy and rainy, most towns and cities over here do tart themselves up nicely for the holidays; even better, it’s dark so early that you can enjoy the lights ‘n’ things from late afternoons onwards (I do! )
York is really lovely, and I hope she’s enjoying her stay!
If the current weather pattern holds, we’ll have a white morning of sorts. The fog was so thick this morning that I couldn’t see anything beyond our neighbor’s house across the street. Once the sun is up, the fog won’t last much past noon, no shoveling required.
At first we weren’t, and then we were, and now we aren’t again. 60 degrees and raining on Christmas Eve and 40s and raining on Christmas Day here in Cleveland.
I was but it all melted.
Sorry to disappoint, but the weather nerd gods at the NWS are now calling for sunny and 60’s for Xmas day in the ATL.
There’s gotta be an Irving Berlin White Christmas joke in here somewhere but I’m too hungover from Gluehwein to think of one. Frohes Fest to Berlin, NH from Berlin Germany, gigi.
I got snowed on yesterday. In Texas. In the frickin’ desert! Back in the 7os on Christmas Day though.
I’m in Austria at the moment. The snow across europe has been as bad as it has been for many, years and many resorts are only partially open and France has been pretty badly hit.
Luckily, where we are, we are 10 minutes from a glacier resort (the Kitzsteinhorn) and the skiing up there has been terrific (but busy). Even better it looks like we start to get a bigger dump of snow from tomorrow and over the weekend. So HURRAH! The Austrian meadow slopes only need a 10cm dusting to make them perfect so when we switch to a smaller resort for our second week It should be spot on.
6-8" on the Front Range of Colorado starting tomorrow and going through the night. Good for the kids who get new sleds.
Today’s forecast is for 1+" of rain & temps within 1° of the record high so it will be a wet one but not a white one.
Well poop. Looks like our light projected Christmas Eve snow isn’t going to happen. Just gray and rainy all day into the night and cloudy tomorrow.
Good day to stay in and clean house and cook! I’m hosting Christmas dinner tomorrow so I’m having a house-cleaning binge today.
My forecast is getting worse - now they’re saying 8-14" where I live.
It’s going to be sunny and clear by the afternoon. 22°C = 72°F
Woke up to a white Christmas here in Salt Lake City. Not much yet, but we’re supposed to get up to six inches* today.
*Okay, I’ll admit my inner 13-year-old giggled a bit at that phrase.
Same here. Up on the East side: yesterday, no snow; today, snow.
Looks like Christmas in Montreal is whitish after all. Irving Berlin would be glad.
Yep. Despite the rain yesterday, it’s still whitish out there today here as well.
Gray, overcast and mid-40s in NE Ohio today. No snow, alas…
