I haven’t but a couple times a book translated and edited by my ex-wife has been mentioned; I won’t say any more especially considering what I said about same ex-wife earlier today.
Nah, I’m nobody.
I thought there would be more, given that Dopers tend to be… involved, literate, professional, etc.
I guess I’m in a smaller minority than I thought, but it’s not surprising given that I’ve (1) written extensively on (2) a not-insignificant cultural matter that (3) doesn’t have a large body of published literature.
I do expect further crossover from my current endeavors once they’re published. (It’s Something Completely New & Different that will likely intrigue a part of the Doper spectrum.) The discussions will likely begin with “This idiot thinks…”

Yes-one of my patients turned out to be a doper who was discussing her health online and I recognized her unusual symptoms. She only mentioned me briefly in passing and didn’t use my name but I spoke to her at the next visit to let her know that I was online here and had read her thread.
This board? Hell, I can barely find any mention of me on Google.
Same here. Thats about as famous as I’d like to be. I have too many skeletons to be famous.

Same here. I can dig several pages into Google results for a search for my name and only find other versions of myself who are way more interesting. It’s not hard to track me down, if you’re determined, but I can’t see why anyone would want to.
