Well sort of. In my real-world academic life I’m a professor. My “name” has been cited in a thread here in reference to the “XYZ model”, where X Y and Z are the first letters of last names. I’m one of those.
Several years back I was participating in a discussion about a movie in CS, and someone disagreed with me and suggested that I check out a particular fansite and read the essays there. I was able to reply truthfully that not only had I seen the site, I’d actually written one of the essays. 
I hadn’t used my real name, though – I think it was actually posted under the name Lamia, although it may have been one of the other names I use online instead.
