Is anyone watching "Velvet" on Netflix or PBS?

I’m talking about the subtitled Spanish series set in the fashion industry of the 1950s and ‘60s. So far, I’ve caught only a few episodes late on Sunday nights, but I’ve enjoyed them greatly. The one in which the two sales reps arrived in New York without the samples they were going to pitch and solved the problem using homemade paper dolls reminded me of Mad Men.

The opening credits and theme song:

I caught the first season on PBS a few months ago, didn’t think it would catch my attention, but it did. Dreadfully formulaic, predictable and silly – but it’s charming and good fun. The clothing styles and eye candy are more than I can resist. I liken it to a box of chocolates where you enjoy them all, one by one.

The “sales reps” you referred to are the 2 main characters in the drama (“Will they? Won’t they?”). It was a cute scene.

I just started Season 2 on Passport. I had no idea there were so many seasons of it! Hard to think how they’re going to keep the schtick going for all that time.

Nice to know someone else here is enjoying the series! :+1:
