Is Dionne Warwick good to see in concert?

My girlfriend feigned gratitude when she got tickets from me to see Dionne Warwick in concert in March. She is not a fan.

Most professional singers in their 60’s & 70’s have voices that are a mere shadow of their former glory or are seriously compromised in some way. People go for the memories. Dionne Warwick is approx 68 years old unless your GF is a a fan of Warwicks why take her to a performance that is likely to be musically mediocre?

Because her psychic friend assured her that the concert would be good?

I positively adore the Dionne Warwick of the 60s and 70s. However, I saw her on something within the last couple years, and it was pretty lame. If your gal pal really, really loves her, the nostalgia value might be enough. Try to sell 'em is what I’d suggest.

She doesn’t have the pipes she used to and it was her pipes that made even the most treacly of fluff sound great. I’d be happy to see her live but if you’re not alread a fan. . …
