Is Ellen White demonstrably wrong?

In the staff report on whether masturbation will shrink the penis, Jill gives a list negative side effects of masturbation, which are attributed to the writings of Ellen White (one of the early leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church), and which she also claims are “myth.” While I’m not too concerned with the subject of masturbation in particular, I am interested in the claims made by Mrs. White. While I have no doubt that Jill’s points are accurate, I’m interested in finding out exactly where the claims that were attributed to her can be found, and how they were debunked. (Are they myth in the sense that they have been shown to be inaccurate, or that there is simply no reason to believe them other than Mrs. White’s word?) I went to the website linked and clicked on the link to "What about Ellen White," but I wasn’t able to find the information I was looking for.

The reason that I’m interested in this is that I am a Seventh-day Adventist, but know very little about Mrs. White herself or about the accuracy of the claims she made. Being able to cite proof of claims that she made which are demonstrably false will help me out in discussions with some other members of my church on exactly what sort of role Mrs. White should really be playing in our beliefs. To that end, any information relating to empirical claims she’s made (and have either been proven or disproven) would help me out a lot, regardless of what they have to do with the subject of masturbation. (In fact, the less they have to do with it, the better, considering that I’ll probably be arguing about this in Sabbath school–Sunday school for those unfamiliar with Adventism.) I appreciate any help with this I can get!

By all accounts I’ve read, Mrs. White was certainly not your run-of-the-mill, garden variety crackpot.

While some present-day religious gurus are content in claiming we are in the end days and the second coming is imminent, give the old broad credit. Her predictions were date specific.

In this regard, she seemed to operate under “if first you don’t succeed” principle. Each time the specific date for the blessed event came and passed without any Savior spottings, she simply had a new vision.

One the her parlor games was “correctly” seeing the number of moons of various distant planets. Her moon counts always seemed to comply with commonly held beliefs of astronomers of the time, but would now be far off the mark. For example, Jupiter was believed to have 4 moons in the 1850s, but 16 or so now. So maybe a new vision?

One of her revelations seemed to have been dropped rather quickly after it was made, due to public ridicule – “giant beings” live on Jupiter(or Saturn, depending upon accounts).

The Ellen White Estate would like you to know all about her views on masturbation (she never used the term) and other odditities:
