Well, is Nicky Katt’s contract up or something?
I sure hope not. Harry Senate was quite infuriating at times, but hey, where’s the show without him?
Heck yes, he’s dead.
Did you watch the “scenes from next week’s show”?
Harper says (to Guber): “He was special to me…do you think he knew that?”
Past tense = dead. I think.
Where’s the show with him.:p:p:p:p
This show sucks!
Yes, this show does suck.
For the benefit of those who missed the episode, can someone provide a brief synopsis of what happened?
Thanks for your opinions on Boston Public’s ability to create a vacuum with it’s mouth. Do you two have any input on the actual question asked? Or is crapping in the thread the sole purpose of your posts?
Your choice, either way. I’m just askin’.
Well, there’s always “He was special to me. Do you think he knew that? D’you think he heard me while in that there coma?” or the like.
My previous post was directed at MyFootsZZ and Diff T. I didn’t see ArchiveGuys’s stealth post until later.
I didn’t see the next week previews. So, he’s in a coma, huh?
Marla wants the gym teacher fired. The principal held up a store when he was 14. Senett called the cops on the student who witnessed his brother shoot the guy in the liquor store. The brother showed up at the school after hours to yell at Senett. Senett told him he should give himself up. When the brother refused, Senett called 911 himself. The brother then stabbed Senette in a pretty brutal scene.
I don’t think he’s dead. I don’t think he’s gonna die. But I could be wrong. I was really wrong when Sid died in KNOTS LANDING. . . and I never watched the show again after that.
We didn’t see a lot of Harry Senate in BOSTON PUBLIC this season, did we? Was Nicky Katt out making movies or something? If so, maybe he’s wanting to leave the show. . . and Senate will be dead. Could go either way.
How wishy-washy is this post?
All’s I know is that I didn’t appreciate the out-of-nowhere violence in the show, and the recapitulation of the “violent black guy” theme that Kelly seems to like. White kids get to have normal problems, like hair-eating, fatness, and crazy mothers who lock them up in basements. Black kids have to shoot and kill people. I hate it.
There was an episode where a white kid shot and killed someone. I don’t recall if it was this season or last season.
I hope he isn’t dead. While I think his character’s scenes are sometimes OTT, he’s interesting nonetheless.
Yeah, thanks, Biggirl. No more negative vibes in this thread, ever! <sigh>
We also didn’t see a lot of the Lauren Davis character either. Last year she was pretty much the star, and this season things have changed a bit. More focus on Ronnie Cook, and the newer people.
I remember that “do you think he knew that?” line…but I was sort of thinking along the lines of a coma. Killing off a main character is so…final. I know they got rid of two characters (Buttle and O Riley) last season, which surprised me a bit, as well as Dr. Harris this year, but there’s one thing to fire a character and yet another to kill them. So negative.
Along different lines…is Kaj Erik Erikson’s character going to return next year? He plays Jeremy Peters. He’s supposedly a senior (though where was he at the prom this year?), but it’s be weird to cut him out of the show. I hope they decide to fool around with the plot line to make him a senior (again) next season, because I’d miss him. He’s so hot!
It was last season. The white kid tried to carjack some lady. He shot a good Samaritan and held a class hostage.
The sad thing is that it seems Gruber’s policy will win out because of this.
Again with the stealth posts! I was responding to monstro and LolaBaby.
Gotta learn how to type faster.
Well, oops.
Not a bad episode, though, IMO.
That line confused me too, until we get to see it in the episode and know that everyone is expecting Senate to die.
Well, it turned out okay, but what really threw me for a loop tonight was Lauren asking Scott to sleep with her? WTF? I mean, I’m happy for him, the guy deserves better than the weirdo woman, but I felt she felt a lot of disdain for him earlier.
I have some bad news for you. Asking Scott Guber to sleep with her out of nowhere irrevocably classifies Lauren as a weirdo woman. I thought that was pretty dumb too.
I totally agree about Lauren’s asking Guber to sleep with her being a bad thing. That was so out of nowhere. . . and so NOT Lauren.
I thought, other than that, it was an altogether good episode! It was a kind of strange ICU, though, wasn’t it? I mean, Senate’s room just looked like a regular room. I thought ICU rooms were pretty high tech and visible at all times to the nursing staff.
And I liked how Guber showed his stuff about being a principal. In the past with him it was all about rules. Last night it was all about communication and compassion. Bravo!
