Is it gonna be a white x-mas where you live?

Irvine, California

The only way I would have a white christmas is if 20 bales of cocaine fell out of a drug running aircraft and bombed my house.

Some forecasters say we might get a little snow mixed with rain, others are calling for just rain. :frowning:

It appears that we’re supposed to have snow. Or rain. Or snow and rain. The forecasters aren’t sure yet…if they ever are. Hard to predict snow here.

I’m thinking it’ll just be a wet Christmas. No snow.

Oddly enough, Oklahoma City just might have one this year if the snow coming today and tomorrow doesn’t melt. Usually snow happens 2-3 times a year, and rarely on or near Christmas.

Fnoonf, wow, you live in Iceland? That’s a place I have always wanted to visit.

Anyway, here in Southeast Kansas we’re getting snow at this very moment. It’s been snowing since around 11 this morning and we’re supposed to get 3-6 inches today total. We already have about 4 inches of powder, and its supposed to snow all day tomorrow too. The roads here get hellishly icy, too.

Forecast: 8 degrees celcius, and rainy.

Welcome to Holland.

Northern Ireland looks cold and slightly wet today and will likely stay that way for Christmas and probably many months to come.

Here in NE Arkansas I predict a wet, slippery, and perhaps slushy Christmas. I think there’s a mix of snow, sleet, and rain falling on my house right now. We have a winter storm advisory at the moment, but I’m not sure what that means . . . a couple years ago we had an inch of snow fall and they shut the whole city down. Sure is different than when I lived up north.

Here I know that Chriastmas will be green and bright. The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night.

We’ll be having a grey Christmas here in my boondocks hometown south of Albany, New York. There’s a little old, dirty snow on the ground, even after the thaw of the past couple days, and we might get a little more - there are snowshowers predicted - but I don’t think we’ll really have anything worth waking Bing Crosby over.

Yeah, here in Central Pennsylvania, they’re calling for heavy snow due to a system that’s moving up from the South. I can hardly wait.

Robin

Nope -which is odd for Calgary.

I live near Boise, Idaho. The chance for having a white Christmas here in any given year is 28% with a 15% chance of it actually snowing on Christmas Day (no cite, I just got these numbers from the local news). We have a 40% chance of snow showers on Christmas this year, so we just might see some snow this year. The last white Christmas we had was back in 1998, and before that it was 1990. Usually it will snow right after Christmas around here.

There is plenty of snow in the mountains west of Palm Springs. But down here in the desert, we are expecting 64 degrees and mostly sunny. Now why did I buy that Subaru Outback AWD wagon again? Oh yeah, sand dunes, that’s it.

Most probably the same system that was here today.

Not here in Santa Cruz. Might get to 60-65 degrees.

Nope, definitely not here. We haven’t had any snow, except for maybe up on the mountains.

I can see snow all over the mountains, but down here in the valley (L.A. county), it will merely be wet.
San Diego (for vacation) should be clear and cool.

Boston’s supposed to get about 5-8 inches, starting on Christmas Day.

Uggh.I hate snow.

In Melbourne, Australia, the forecast is for 22 degrees (celsius) which is about 70 farenheit (or thereabouts) which is a COLD day for us for Christmas…our usual is about 30, but the lower temp makes the roast turkey/ham/pudding routine a little more bearable…

But no snow…
