Is it just me or did she call herself stupid?

I’m a little confused. Being a member of the unwashed, meaning those who are stupider than Ann Coulter, I just couldn’t figure this one out. Someone help. :smiley:

“I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am,” Coulter told the crowd of 2,600 Wednesday. (As reported on CNN)

Call me picky. Call me whatever you want, but did she just refer to herself as stupid?

If the people in the audience are “stupider” than she is, then that must mean she’s stupid, and the audience is just that much more stupid than she is.

I wonder if that remark was intentional; meant to break the ice with the audience, or if she seriously wanted to insult someone in the crowd and that’s the best she could do.

A republican I work with is strangely proud of the fact that democrats tend to have college education.

I can’t figure out why this is a selling point for the GOP to her. Hell, I don’t even know if it’s even true.

So, she insults the crowd, calling them stupid, she insults herself, insinuating that she is also stupid - was there a point to this, other than proving that there might actually be 2600 people stupider than she?
