How do you figure? If McCain’s infirmity were severe enough to interfere with his performance as president, the fact that he received his injuries while acting in a way that many would call heroic doesn’t change their severity or relevance.

IMO his injuries would not interfere with his ability to be president. Since they make him look bad on TV (the greatest crime in our culture :rolleyes: ) they may interfere with his ability to be elected president.

Whatever else, I’ve got to give McCain his due - he went through a hell that would have killed me a dozen times over in the first week.
