I got a Pilates set from my mom and 3 baskets of scented bath stuff and lotions from different relatives. Gee, wonder what they’re trying to tell me… :o
Just kidding. I actually put the bath stuff on my wish list, 'cause I like getting bath oils and lotions as gifts. I do wish someone had also gotten me the 5th Harry Potter movie I also put on my list. Oh well, off to Suncoast.
As far as weird stuff: My sis gave one of our BILs a can of something called “Pimp Juice” wrapped along with his more normal gift. I forgot what else she gave him, I only remember the Pimp Juice.
I received a framed…thing. About Jesus and feathers and the designer’s dead son. I think it’s supposed to be inspirational, but just comes off as creepy.
I got a webcam from my parents. This isn’t weird in itself, but my laptop has a webcam built in, and I also have another external webcam. They know this! I talk on Skype with them and use the webcam! Apparently, I am to start a collection.
I feel the need to mention that my parents are otherwise very thoughtful gift givers.
This one isn’t mine but it’s too good not to mention.
Last year, my friend got an Andy Griffith Show trivia board game from her mom. My friend has never seen the show! We were both born in 1980 and it was well before our time. It’d be a weird gift even if she were a big fan of the show, but she’s never even seen a single episode. (Me neither.) Today I was at her house and saw the game, still shrinkwrapped.
