Yes, it is. But we had to disappoint my boss years ago when he, of Indian extraction and a Hindu vegetarian, had to be told that the creamed spinach at Gulliverr’s-- that he loved – had bacon in it.
Other than creamed, the only way I like cooked spinach is very lightly sauteed with lots of garlic. There was a Chinese Islamic restaurant near where I used to work that served this dish, and it was awesome.
