Is McCain forked yet?

And the originals!

I think you’re letting your optimism cloud your thinking – it’s not clear to me how that makes sense.

If the republican conservatives aren’t happy, one would think it’s because McCain is not as conservative as they’d like. Why would this (and this alone) lead you to think that fence sitters – presumably, who would like a less conservative candidate – would also not break for McCain (ignoring all the other reasons, of course)?

Just a check on that specific line of thought…no reason to indulge in unwarranted optimism, after all.

For the out of towners, the infamous “chopper ad”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nst-aXvdrR4

Note that there are 10,000 illegal aliens entering the country every day, or 3,650,000 every year. 36,500,000 every decade! That means that, of the roughly 12 million illegals in the US, ALL of them entered the country in the past three years. No wonder you can’t sit down on your own sofa without having to push aside two or three of them!

Local talk said even his campaign tried to get him to revise that number to something more realistic, but Jim was stubborn.

Given that Utah is between Nevada and Colorado… Also, watch the next Texas poll. I’m betting that Clinton’s stumping for Noriega is also going to narrow the gap for Obama. It’s already less than 10…

I’ll be carpooling from New York to Pennsylvania every weekend until the election to canvass. It’s the least I can do since I’m unemployed and can’t afford to give much more money.

We must give the Republicans credit for slowing the illegal immigration rate. Link. It turns out all you have to do is to make the US economy worse than Mexico’s, and no one comes. Heck of a job, Pubbies.

I’m thinking that it may be more along the lines of his campaign being a shambles, and failing to give anyone any enthusiasm for McCain/Palin. If the people who are predisposed to vote for him come hell or high water can’t even pretend to like it, the people who haven’t yet committed to either side aren’t going to find anything there that’ll make them break his way either.

I’m half expecting to see the avowed racist demographic start slipping away from McCain any day now. (More seriously, I’ve noticed the West Virginia polls seem to have slowly gotten less red. Miss “I’ve had enough of Hoo-sayn” might just be pulling the lever for Obama by Nov.)

Misourri definitely needs it, but I’m building my volunteer capacity every day. We need to make sure that the seeds of intolerance don’t take root. You do that by keeping up the pace and talking to everyone.
