(BTW, you probably think the old “AssUMe” saw was first belaboured by Jack Klugman’s character “Quincy” in the pilot some 25 years ago. Actually, it goes back at least as far as W.C. Fields’ character The Great McGonigle in “The Old-Fashioned Way” -1934.)

You ask, “Why did Manny close the thread?” You got your answer: “It wasn’t a GQ.” That should be the end of it.
Yes, he could have moved it. But you know what? We have a strained server for this Board. Moving a thread takes a long time, and in that amount of time he could have checked out four or five other threads for moderation. If the subject were that important to the OP, he could re-post his question in a more appropriate forum. Manny (ooh, I’m trying to get on his Top Ten List! You Clique-believers are a hoot…) is a moderator, not a babysitter. You want him to scrub your toilets, too?
And here’s a piece of advice… if you want people to take you seriously in the future, I would recommend that you not insult them.
