Not really. Stupid people don’t usually get through those schools with a degree. That is, you get an education by going there, but you generally don’t get in and you don’t get through if you are “stupid”. (He’s no legacy fart either.)
You also don’t usually end up with $40M (or whatever his net worth is) by being stupid.
But go ahead and believe that, if you think everyone who disagrees with you, or who has ulterior motives you don’t understand is “stupid”.
I agree. Evil != Stupid, and misunderestimating your opponents is a sure path to defeat.
That’s not to say that you have to be a stupid person to do stupid things, though, and past successes are one of the things that set someone up to be stupid in the future. You can learn from failures, you learn what you did wrong, what you could do better; you cannot learn from success other than what you did worked, so do it exactly the same next time.

I know lots of people with Ph.D.'s who are incredibly stupid. There are different ways of being stupid. You can pass exams, and make lots of money, and still be stupid in some respects.

Stupid is contextual. I’m a smart guy, and I have an education, but if I were to pretend I knew how to fly a 777, and foisted myself off as a pilot, as the plane plunged into the ocean you’d probably think I was pretty goddamn stupid. You’d be right.

I’m picturing a group of assholes who have pulled up a section of mainline track at 2:00 am, while they were drunk, because they thought it would piss off “the liberals”.
Now they’re on the train, watching fox news, laughing and chuckling as the newscaster announces that there is a train hurtling toward a broken section of track, and hundreds of people on the train are going to die in a mangled wreck.
“This is gonna be great” they say, as their train gets closer and closer to the torn up tracks.
…and laugh their heads off right before they die at all the “libruls” all around them getting hurt.
They even point and laugh at the other passengers on the train.
