Well, this really is a simple question. Is the live365.com radio player a Flash application?
If it could be a couple of different things, please tell me what it could be. I don’t think it could be a java application…
I think it is a flash application that launches using javascript.
Any smart people out there want to chime in?
Unsmart people need not respond, but you likely don’t know who you are.
If you think “unsmart” is not a word and are tempted to make a wise crack about that fact, then you are most certainly one of the unsmart.
I don’t use the VIP (paid) Live365 player, so I don’t know if that’s different, but when I play a Live365 radio station in free mode, here’s what I see:
When launched from Firefox on Windows, it pops up an HTML / Javascript “Player” window that just opens up a .PLS file that launches & plays using iTunes (for me, anyway)
When launched from Safari on a Mac, it does the exact same thing.
When launched from IE on Windows, it tries to download & use an ActiveX control. I didn’t install it, but I’m guessing that this is the player you’re using.
So, there’s probably no Flash involved.
