Is the "Take 5" candy bar an endangered species?

Or

Why can’t I find heaven in a chocolate bar in the Wal Mart “impulse” aisle anymore?

Seriously, My Wal-Mart has stopped shelving indvidual Take 5 Bars  … Is this going on for other people as well?

I would like to think a candy bar as good as Take 5 hasn’t connected with consumers?!

They sell them in vending machines at work. I got one yesterday.

I’ve actually wondered kind of the opposite. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so heavily pushed before. They were non-existent one moment and simply packed into every single ‘impulse aisle spot’ the next.

It seemed like an attempt to create a classic strictly through advertising…

No I mean it’s a great candy bar, and no I’m not being paid to say that.

I just found it weird that the Wal Mart near me isn’t selling singles.

Ok. Glad to know, I hope its a temporary thing at my “wally world” then.

The OP is probably better suited to MPSIMS. MOved.

I got them 4 for a dollar at Aldi’s last week.

Same here. Some folks are falling for the hype and then really enjoying them.

I come across them now and then. And might I add, geez those things are revolting.

I would think that Hershey’s would have more than enough floor sweepings to handle the demand for “Take 5” bars.

Because that’s sure what they taste like. Blech.

It lasted all of a month in the vending machines at work, before it was punted for something at least semi-edible. So, yeah, I can see it not being a big mover at WalMart and so dropped.

What hype? I mean, the Take 5 bars are honestly a pretty good candy idea. Chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, and pretzels - they’re basically chocolate-covered pretzels on steroids. And who doesn’t like chocolate-covered pretzels? Admittedly, the pretzels could use a little more salt, but that’s a common problem was mass-market chocolate-covered pretzels.
