Is there a good guide for what college football games to watch each week?

I enjoy watching college football, but don’t follow it in the slightest bit. I just like to flip it on and see what happens. And with ESPN3, I have access to tons of games each week. The problem is I have no idea what are the games between close matched rivals who will fight to the bitter end, and what games are lopsided match-ups that will be over by the end of the 1st quarter. So is there a good “top games to watch” site out there?

You could just check out the various college football threads here…which will likely condense into a “main” thread for the season, and see which games people are talking about. Also, ABC usually has a pretty decent game on Saturday night. Tonight, It’s LSU-Oregon played in Arlington, TX. Georgia hosts Boise State at the same time, I think on ESPN. BYU @ Ole Miss is starting shortly on ESPN.

Probably the easier way to know what is going on in college football is to watch College Gameday on ESPN Saturday mornings at 10 am eastern. They will typically cover all of the big games as well as any decent story lines in the smaller games. If nothin else if housed what game they are at each week will at least tell you a pretty good game.

Of course my solution is just to watch as many as possible because no one would have called Utah St punishing Auburn for 3 quarter and then Auburn dominating the 4th quarter for a win with 30sec left on the clock.

You might check to see if your cable provider carries ESPN Goalline. It is a channel that switches between every game ESPN has access to. You get all the good stuff.

No cable here folks, just ESPN3 on my XBOX. Which generally carries all the games that ESPN1/2 carries, plus a whole bunch more. My general strategy is look for “ranked team vs. ranked team” games, but those aren’t always on.
