Aside from that, how is the Great Pacific Northwest treating you?
My oldest son is trying out for a hockey team tonight and I know from previous seasons that our games are on Saturday or Sunday, anywhere from Bakersfield to Oxnard to San Diego to Riverside; from as early as 7am and as late as 10pm. I’ll have to get back to you guys when I find out the schedule if he gets on the team. By chance, one of the rinks is a scant 1.2 miles from the restaurant and if it so happens that we’re scheduled to play there, then great…maybe I’ll get you guys to come over if the game happens before 6pm…(I know, that’s a long shot).

Yes it is…Skate Zone (aka - Wind Tunnel)…
He made the team and I actually have the schedule! He has a game that day at 10am in Ontario, so I have plenty of time to make it to Huntington Beach (maybe I’ll go watch a couple of games at Skate Zone as a possible scout for our team) by 6pm. My wife will probably stay home with the kids, otherwise she’ll keep pressuring me to cut the dopefest short and get back to them. Heh, who knows at this point.
So put me down for 1 for now.

October 9 in Huntington Beach, eh? Well, distance-wise it’s not a problem (might even give me an excuse to hit Disneyland for the day).
Downside? My dear and wonderful Q may be in town that weekend, since the day before is my birthday. 
If he comes into town, and since I see him so infrequently, I’m not sure if a trip to a Dopefest would be feasible.
HOWEVER, I’d like to come, so put me down as a maybe and we’ll see what the old ball and chain says.

I’m just bumping this to ask if this is still going as planned, since there’s been nary a peep said about it in the past two weeks. I might not be able to make it at 6pm, since we’re getting close to the wire at work and we’re putting in long days and unpleasant nights. Will you still be there (and mostly sober) at 7:30? Or 8?
It’s still on as far as I know. We’re still planning on being there. I don’t know how long people will stay, but IIRC, past dinners have lasted longer then 1 1/2 hrs. I’ll be totally sober since I don’t drink. I doubt Rico will drink either, but I’m not going to try to speak for anyone else.
