Is there a way to actually contact Facebook?

I’ve been trying to sign up for weeks; I managed to create an account, but was only able to login once. Now it keeps asking me to validate my phone number, but keeps insisting my phone number is invalid. It won’t let me move past this or even see anything on my account. The Help Center isn’t any help, I’ve tried asking for help through it, but never get a response. The only I can fine is the physical address of HQ in Menlo Park, and am almost at the point of writing a letter. It’s really frustrating.

It sounds like they suspended your account because they think you’re a bot. Are you using a proxy server?

Is it asking to validate the phone number by sending you a text (or push notification) with a code? (You can’t move forward, if that’s the case & you’re using a landline.)

Yes, and I only have a cell phone; no landline.

You might have some luck going through the Forgot Password route.

No luck there; all that does is reset my password and then I get the same prompt for my mobile number logging in.

There is a sub-reddit:

Thanks; I see multiple other people with the same issue, but no helpful response.

Since it’s a new/likely minimally used account at this point, can’t you just start over and sign up for a new account using a different email address?

This page shows the following suggestions:

I’ve tried that, all account recovery does is let me reset my password. The problem isn’t my password; it’s that Facebook is requiring a mobile number, but insisting my mobile number is invalid.

What format are you entering the number in?

At this point I’d sign up again and not give them your mobile number at all. After all the data leaks, the less information FB has, the better. Personally I didn’t even give them my real birthdate, what I gave is close but not my exact birthdate.

Just because Facebook asks you for information doesn’t mean you should give it to them. They used to ask for your email login so they could harvest your address book! Don’t do that.
