Flights are really expensive these days but my wife and I wanted to plan a long weekend. I had the bright idea of us figuring out what we were willing to spend on a flight and just seeing what flights were available for that price regardless of where (I would of course be picking dates) and then picking a location that looked like a nice trip, however I couldn’t find a way to search this way. I know it is unorthodox and a little weird but does anyone know if there is a travel search engine that lets you search this way? Thanks.
Go to https://www.google.com/travel/flights
Put in your home airport and the dates, with no destination; hit Explore.
On the next page, select any other criteria you want (non-stop, duration, times) and the map will show all offerings.
Kayak has a similar tool called Kayak Explore. You are shown a map populated with prices to various destinations and all sorts of ways to filter, etc.
Thank you both. This was exactly what I was looking for but somehow missed.
