Is there a way to update language spell-check for office XP?

I write a lot of stuff in French using Word in Office XP, but the spell-check often doesn’t even know certain verb forms and grammatical formations. I’m wondering if there’s something I can download to update. I’ve looked, and I’ve downloaded certain things, but they haven’t affected the spell-check/grammar-check.

If you do the same search in French you will no doubt find many more.

Perhaps you are referring to something else, but in Word, you can right click the “misspelled” word, and the drop down menu that appears should give you the option to add that word to the dictionary. Then going forward, Word won’t flag that spelling with the squiggly red underline.
