Is there an image hosting site as good as Imgur that works in the UK (or everywhere)?

I get that @Peter_Morris is frustrated but I gotta go with @Darren_Garrison on this one.

Imgur is SO much better to use than any image hosting site I have ever seen. They require no account (read track me). They make it as simple as possible to put an image in and get a link and then you can paste that link in near anywhere and it just works!

It seems the UK has imposed rules that Imgur is not willing to comply with and blocked them (likely for costs and not ideology).

I really do not want to stop using Imgur unless there is another solution. Is there one that is as good and simple?

As I said: Like I said, it sucks. But I found a working alternative on Shutterfly, and I’ve been using that.

But yes, there are lots of free image hosts that work just great.

I’ve been quite satisfied with gyazo.com for going on 10 years now. No account needed. You can upload pics, and also they have an easy app to do captures of sections of your screen.

Is anybody reading this thread unable to see this pic?

ETA: Hmm, okay, it seems they’ve changed since I started, and now all new users do require a free account. Apparently I got grandfathered in from before they required everybody to have accounts and it’s only my cookie on my computer that’s telling it I don’t need a login.

The internet as we knew it a few years ago is quickly rotting away. To whatever extent casually free services may still exist, they will be inherently dodgy for one or another reason (geoblocking, limited bandwidth, general enshittification). This will all get worse before it gets better.

There is no perfect solution, and whatever might work today is not guaranteed to work tomorrow. It’s just how the internet is now.
