Is there any kind of a lemon law for in warranty PC notebooks?

My daughter’s Toshiba MX35 series notebook has been to the shop 3 times now for a motherboard power issue with no resolution, and now after the last service has come back with a defective power plug. If it send it in again this will be the 3rd time.

Is there any limit on the number of times an in warranty product can be repaired before it has to be refunded or replaced?

Location?

If you are in CA contact the california bureau of electronics and appliance repair. They can help with failure to honor warranty arrangements via fines to the warranty or service contract provider.
