I agree. This is one of my favorite songs.
“Just My Imagination”

“Here comes the sun, everybody run, here comes the sun…”
So inoffensive it’s offensive.
I also can’t stand “Hey Jude.”
There’s a lot of Beatles stuff I like, but not those two.
Forty-some years after the fact, this song sounded just as good. I’m not sure when it was filmed, but it had to be sometime before 2014 because that’s when Larry Ramos, the one in the hat, died (from cancer at age 72). Terry Kirkman, the tall man next to him, has also passed (CHF in 2023, aged 83).
I rate them both as “meh”- not bad, not great either.
Boring ass Glee club.
I sometimes try some famous and well liked (in some circles) songs or bands and keep waiting for the lyrics to kick in, but the never do. I’m just not generally interested in purely instrumental music that isn’t classical or John Williams.
Maybe something by Johnny Cash?
Tony Bennett, I Left My Heart in San Francisco?
Back when I had cable and could get Classic Arts Showcase, this was my own personal favorite video.
Another unexpected choice. Nice one!
Now I notice that this one has not been nominated yet. The internet is changing.
Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” just for the imagery.
I think it sounds fine, but the guy on the far right (playing a Strat?) looks disturbingly like Donald Trump. Sporting a DA/ponytail! Eek!
I love it, with the party noises going on in the background (recorded versions)
Besides dancing to it, it was a great song to roller skate to.
Bonus: Cowbell ![]()
