Is there any way I can establish an Internet connection without Dial Up Networking..

…using Windows 95?

I started a thread not long ago asking a similar question…

http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=94223

But neither Winsock Trumpet nor the DUN 1.3 upgrade work on computers that don’t have Dial Up Networking installed to begin with.

Is there any way I can get an internet connection established? Is there a program that I can download off the internet that is a Dial Up Networking alternative?

One that I can put on a disk and take home to my Win 95 comp?

Any answers are much appreciated.

Start you’re own ISP.

What are you trying to accomplish? Why don’t you want to use DUN?

BTW, I have never used AOL (and, believe me, I never will) but I have heard they do not use the Windows DUN but their own scheme. Is this true? If not now, was it ever true in the past?
