Her Maj’ness holds regular garden parties in the summer at both Buck house & Holyrood House (thats in Scotland BTW). You can get invited if you hold some fairly high government office or perhaps do some notable charitable work, but not quite up to Honours status. My parents used to get invited to the Holyrood one 'cos my dad was high up in the Customs & Excise in Scotland. They went once but said it was boring - you get to greet HM for about 10 secs each then stuff your face with tea and buns. My dad used to pass his initation on to his secretary who loved that sort of thing.
Oh yes, single daughters were also invited

I don’t know whether she is or not, but she’s British anyway.
