Every time I hear a news story involving religion or sex, especially homosexuality, my very first thought is “I wonder what Fred Phelps is going to say about this.”
Is this a sign I’m becoming an SDMB addict?
I think so. It’s infiltrated my mind as well, for example…
Whenever I hear about some heinous crime involving children, animals, etc., I say “Oh, Jesus, there’s another Pit Thread.”
Since both you folks are semi-newbies like me, I guess I’d better fess up that those thoughts are already part of my check list as things pop up on TV, at Yahoo!, in conversation, or just as I’m about to doze off asleep. Even had an SDMB dream this week relating to that MPSIMS 1,000,000 post event.
It’s addictive, no doubt.
I think the roots growing from my feet, wrapping around the table legs, and burrowing into the floor… that’s the sign I’ve been on the SDMB too long.

When you write an e-mail and you want italicize a word and you use vB coding instead of ctrl-I. I did this once and confused the hell out of the receipient.
