Still looks like weeds.
I could string you some crap about the tangled branches being representative of the intertwined dependencies in our society, how those dependencies expand to a global scale, the central void representing the lonliness of the individual, the perceptions and intent of the photographer, yadda, yadda, yadda…Naw!
It’s a cool photo. I like it.

Over there on the left - isn’t that the golf ball I lost on the 13th hole?
I like it, Mega. You framed the circle at the perfect point of interest. The crux of the biscuit, so to speak.
just stopped by to say thanks for all the positive feedback.
so, ‘thanks!’
if wishes were fishes, we could walk on the ocean.
Does it have a title?
Why are you calling it a ‘mess?’
Art is as art does.
It works mentally because it follows the rule of thirds, split each side into thirds & where those lines meet should be the object of focus.
I can’t figure out why you left the background out of focus & why the specific branches that are in focus should be in focus. Without a title or description it’s up to the viewer to define these things & in that case, each person is going to make their own definition & you’ll never know if the point you wanted to get through, got through
Paste a picture of Jesse Helms in the center, splatter it with cow dung; Voila: ART!
(Actually a nice composition. Isn’t B&W great to work with?)
Second that. Am I missing something?
The odds that the bread will fall butter side down are directly proportional to the cost of the carpet.
I misread the original question. I thought this was a trivia question (velcro, or a mite’s bedroom or something).
As art, it’s very cool. Now it needs a title. I don’t think “More than a Mess” cuts it.
my point? i was in grade nine when i took it, if i had a point it is long forgotten. and maybe i’m alone on this one, but sometimes i prefer for people to have their own definitions. i think it makes things much more interesting then to say when you can read into them your own way, instead of being told, ‘THIS is what it is.’
and the reason i called it a mess is because when i had gotten home and showed it to my mom, she totally blew it off.
but then, she does that with a lot of things.
if wishes were fishes, we could walk on the ocean.
Nice composition, very interesting use of the focal plane, and good range of values.
As abstract photography goes, I really like it. When you throw in the part about how you took it when you were in 9th grade, I’d say it’s quite an accomplishment.
Please, Mega, don’t let your mom’s lack of interest get you down. Most people have some innate appreciate for design, but a few haven’t a clue and aren’t interested in learning. That’s not your fault.
Oh, oh, oh. I have the perfect title for it, then. How does this grab you: untitled?
Good photo, btw. Looks nice for thinking.
but kat, that’s what all the rest are called.
i need something catchy like, .
if wishes were fishes, we could walk on the ocean.
How 'bout:
“Hey mom, they like it!!”
How much is it?
My folks are true artists. Whenever I brought my art for them to see they would always say these nice things about it. Sometimes I would show them a picture someone did & say I did it & they would say the same thing. Other times I would show them something I did but say someone else did it & they wouldn’t be as complimentary. odd folks.
