Is this the final season of Justice League Unlimited?

I just watched “Double Date” (funny!) and “Clash,” the latter of which had the awesome Captain Marvel / Superman fight, which managed to borrow the magic-lightning- strikes-Superman bit from DC’s KINGDOM COME. Can I say that Cap’s characterization here is damn near perfect? And he totally rocks in his half-cape. Now I want to see Sivana, Uncle Dudley and Marvels Mary and Junior!

I’m a bit saddened that this cartoon seemingly stops production around episode 80, but I am pleased the current storyline seems to be gearing up for one final bang between the League and the Hamilton/Luthor/Waller cabal.

Favorite moment in Clash: The unvoiced cameo appearances of Crowbar, Black Mass and two other villains I didn’t recognize. – the first two I last saw in that two part JLA story at the Dark Side Bar in the Griffin-era League, where all those villains lost their weapons to a reporter in a game of Poker.

I thought I’d heard they’d already been renewed for another season beyond this one. I can’t remember the source, though.

Some things I’ll have to see before they declare this series DOA:

-Death/Rebirth of Superman
-Lex Luthor as President
-World’s Finest (Batman/Superman vs. everyone)
-Green lantern and Hawkwoman getting back together
-exploring the Batman/Catwoman/Wonder Woman love triangle (won’t Batman eventually father the Huntress with Catwoman?)

I love this series, but I can never seem to keep up with when the season begins and ends. I just have my DVR record the darn thing and get a pleasant surprise when it airs a new one.

I’ve never heard of these episodes mentioned. Should I check my DVR? I’ve been out of town. Did a new episode air Saturday?

Couple of things.

I’m not sure about cartoon continuity, but in pre-crisis continuity, the Huntress was Batman’s daughter from Earth II with that earth’s Catwoman.

Post Crisis, has her as the daughter of a mob boss who’s family was wiped out and now she wants revenge.

I’m not surprised you don’t know who Black Mass and Crowbar are. They were part of a group called The Cadre which were the first bad guys who fought the Justice League Detroit. Now I know that many people claimed that era never happened, but it did. They were based in Detroit. Which apparantly in the DCU is on the shores of Lake Michigan.

IIRC (it’s been years since I read those issues) the Cadre was lead by The Overmaster who gave them all their powers. (Shrike and Fasball were two more) who in turn got his powers from some alien who had crash landed in the Arctic.

It wasn’t a great story.

Wil, the Canadian network YTV always airs new episodes before Cartoon Network does in the U.S… You could probably find them by downloading torrents online, but I don’t do that personally. However, I have seen the so-far-unaired-in-the-U.S. Suicide Squad episode, “Task Force X” (written by Darwyn Cooke), and it’s one of the coolest ones yet!

I think my DVR missed these. Now I’m really upset. :frowning:

No. Cartoon Network aired the entire Clone Wars toon.

New shows start this Saturday (May 28) at 9pm EST.

According to Kevin Conroy’s webpage (he is the voice of Batman) Cartoon Network has ordered a 3rd season of JLU. Since the first season hasn’t ended yet there shouldl be plenty of time for the story arcs to play out.

Also, in the next few weeks Captain Marvel will be making an appearance.
