Cannabis edibles will not be legal for sale in Canada until December 2019. AFAIK, they are legal to possess, or make at home (a common option, especially in provinces that allow home growing).

AFAIK, the delay is due to the powers that be figuring out the regulations that will apply to edible cannabis products, especially regarding reliability of dosage.

As I understand it, cannabis edibles are currently illegal in the nation of Canada until December 2019.

Edibles are not available for sale legally. However, if you buy some cannabis and make your own cannabis butter and use that to make cookies, there is nothing illegal about that.
