But, don’t you see? Nothing important happened before he was born.
What is the bizarre memory episode in this clip? He didn’t remember the time of the rally? I don’t get it.
Did you read the entire tweet? He said that he was going from the rally to a football game that doesn’t happen until tomorrow.
Even Fox News Lite is picking it up now.
No, I just watched the video in the box in your post. Didn’t realize I had to go to X to see the whole thing.
I’d just like to point out that at no point, even when Arnie was in his seventies, did Trump outdrive Palmer. Arnie could crush the ball. I’m sure that was related somehow to his massive Johnson.
Yeah, I don’t know golf but I’m betting Palmer on his worst day was better than Trump.
A very safe bet. In addition to being one of the all-time great golfers, he could mash the ball. In an era of persimmon drivers, Arnie once drove a 346-yard green. He also shot his age (or better) into his 70s.
Trump is such a bullshitter. “Yeah, I outdrove Arnold Palmer. That’s the ticket!”
Of course Trump can outdrive Arnold Palmer. Trump drives a golf cart, while Arnold always walked the course. Trump’s golf cart can go faster than Arnold could walk. There you go.
(All puns aside, I did see Arnold Palmer play live, at the 1978 Canadian Open. I was at the course that day, in the gallery. Man, that guy could drive a golf ball!)
But did you see him in the shower?
This. A thousand times, this. Seriously. Can some psychologist explain how soooo many people can be duped by by such an obvious fraudster? When Harris was was asked in the Fox interview why she thought half the country supported Trump, “Are they stupid?” was one of the options. Obviously, she didn’t take the bait but uh, yeah.
Without going far afield on this, I’d like to offer two responses to the critically-important question:
- “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” ― Carl Sagan
- The Third Wave Experiment
The Third Wave was an experimental movement created by the high school history teacher Ron Jones in 1967 to explain how the German population could have accepted the actions of the Nazi regime during the rise of the Third Reich and the Second World War.
There really is ‘nothing new under the sun.’
The better answer would have been “Not stupid, just ill-informed. They need better news sources.”
Dean was a Democrat, Trump is a Republican. Therefore everyone - especially the media - jumped on Dean given the slightest excuse and carefully ignores how obviously insane and vile Trump is. The Republicans are America’s nobility and treated with the deference nobility always has been.
It’s just the mainstream media, but at least they are saying something. (Limited gift link.)
(Excerpted from above link.)
It was a softball question, from a 10-year-old. Mr. Trump’s response was more of a knuckleball.
A group of children asked Mr. Trump questions on Friday on “Fox & Friends.” Asked to name his favorite president when he was a child, Mr. Trump at first cited one who was elected when he was 34 (Ronald Reagan). Then he ventured onto surprising terrain, including every child’s favorite subject, the revised NAFTA trade deal known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
DANIEL: President Trump, I’m Daniel. And I’m 10. And I’m from Tennessee. What was your favorite president when you were little?
DONALD TRUMP: So I liked Ronald Reagan. I thought he was, um, look — I did not love his trade policy. I’m a very good trade — I have made some great trade deals for us — the U.S.M.C.A. That wasn’t his strength, but he had a great dignity about him, Ronald Reagan. You could say, “There’s our president,” more than any of the others. Really, any of the others. Uh, great presidents — well, Lincoln was probably a great president. Although I’ve always said, why wasn’t that settled? You know? I’m a guy that — it doesn’t make sense we had a civil war.
BRIAN KILMEADE, “Fox & Friends” co-host: Well, half the country left before he got there.
TRUMP: Yeah, yeah. But you’d almost say, like, why wasn’t that — as an example, Ukraine would have never happened and Russia if I were president. Israel would have never happened. Oct. 7 would have never happened. As you know, Iran was broke, they wanted to make a deal. I told, “Anybody buys any oil from Iran, it’s, you’re, you’re finished, you know, you can’t deal with the United States.” Nobody was buying oil from Iran. They came, they wanted to make a deal — now they have $300 billion in cash. Biden has been — and her, she’s, I don’t know if she was involved in it, but she’s, she’s terrible. Hey, look, remember this, she was the border czar, she never went there.
She was border czar and the Border Patrol, the one thing you have to remember, the Border Patrol gave strongest endorsement that anybody has ever seen: He’s the best there is, there has never been — he’s the greatest president, the greatest at the border, and she’s terrible. That was their policy. And these guys are great, by the way. These are great — you know them well from the show. We got the best endorsement and that really says it all. And I think the border is the bigger thing than inflation and the economy.
You know, I watch your polling where it says the economy and inflation are No. 1, 2. And then it says — always says, like, the three — I think the border is bigger. I got elected in 2016 on the border. I did a great job. I couldn’t even mention it after that because nobody cared because I did — it was fixed. We had a great border. Then they blew it, and I have to do it again. The difference is, it’s much worse this time. Because they are allowing millions of people into the country that shouldn’t be here.
There is a human personality defect called narcissistic psychopath. Fortunately a fairly small percentage of humans have it. Most are shot as a teen while attempting an armed robbery or spend their lives in and out of prison. A few become CEOs or, worse yet, politicians.
There is a different personality defect I call “toxic follower syndrome” Unfortunately this one is far more common, maybe 30-40% of the population has some susceptibility, while 10-20% are totally driven by their syndrome.
The two personality defects fit together like lock and key.
And the bigger the leader’s leader-wackiness, the better it sells to the followers’ follower-wackiness.
We are witnessing a historical case of this easily on the same scale as Hitler. Whether the outcome will be as bad remains to be seen.
But there is no reason to wonder in incomprehension about why the leaders and followers are behaving as they do. It’s not mysterious in the slightest.
Whoa, when I saw there were 51 unread posts in this thread, which I had been caught up on just yesterday, I knew it going to be something pretty nutty, but “trump rambling on about Arnold Palmer’s dick” was not anything I could have guessed at.
The best part is we know that Palmer’s Penis is not the most bizarre thing he’ll give a “speech” about between now and Election Day.
