Is Trump confused?

During the event, the former president slurred words, claimed his son Don Jr. is married when he’s actually just engaged, and consistently described the world around him in a manner wholly inconsistent with reality.

During one heartbreaking moment, Trump stopped talking for a full minute while the usual eerie music favored by an unhinged conspiracy group called QAnon played in the background. He sweatily moved his head back and forth and randomly pointed at people, appearing to not know exactly what he was doing.

## It’s clear Trump lacks the mental capacity to run against Biden

It was tough to watch, but there’s little question the 78-year-old no longer has the faculties needed to take on President Joe Biden in the race for the presidency. It’s now up to Trump’s family and responsible members of the Republican Party to find a way for him to gracefully step aside and let a younger and more competent candidate take over, possibly someone like Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Imagine how potent those images will be when he is running against a much younger and lucid Harris!

Maybe just really really stupid. He just complained that illegal immigrants are taking 107% of the jobs created.

“If you think this makes perfect sense, you just might be a Republican!!!” (My bolding)

What he’s saying is clear. Even though jobs are being created at X rate, employers are firing honest Americans to hire illegal immigrants at an even faster rate.

So the employment rate for “real Americans” is going down despite the job creation.

It’s almost certainly BS, but it’s not (necessarily) senile BS.

Consider it the equivalent of “Working folks got on average a 5% pay raise last year while inflation was 8%! Are you better off now? NO!!1!!”

Big picture it’s a way for trump to say that any good news you hear is only half the story and if you dug deeper you’d see the unstated bad news overwhelms the good.

It’s a way of preemptively debunking any good news ads the Ds might run, or any good news his adherents might encounter in MSM or from friends.

See? You can trust trump to tell you the whole truth! Not like those evil other guys.

Hannibal Lecter has broken his silence!

Given Trump’s propensity for telling bombastic lies, it’s often difficult to discern whether he’s confused or if he’s just telling another lie. I could very well see Trump pointing to a man who hasn’t been governor since 2019 and telling him he’s doing a great job. Not because he’s confused, but because he never cared to begin with.

According to an article I read this morning, 15m jobs have been added under Biden, while about 2.5m illegal immigrants have entered the US. So, not even close.

Unless of course the illegal immigrants can steal several jobs at a time!

Would’ve been better if Hopkins said, “I guess we’ll share a vintage Heinz ketchup, instead of kee-an-ti.”

Or, “What a fucking twit.”

It’s the Jamaicans taking all of the jobs.

Hehehe, exactly the same thing I thought of.

My feeling is that someone told Trump that a certain number of jobs were created last month/year/whatever but that the total number of undocumented people with jobs is actually higher than that number and he interpreted it as they are taking all the new jobs and then some.

My point was not that trump was telling the truth about illegal immigrant employment; he never tells the truth except inadvertently.

My point was simply the concept of 107% in that context was not logically impossible and therefor was not a sure sign of senility. Which seemed to me to have been the contention of the person who introduced that quote to the thread. “Hur hur hur! That knob only goes up to 100. trump must be senile.”

I’m the one who introduced the quote to this thread and I pointed out how I think Trump came up with the numbers. They are clearly misleading but I don’t think Trump is trying to deliberately mislead. I think he hears what he wants to hear and doesn’t care if he presents it in a way that is clearly misleading. In other words, as I pointed out, not necessarily confused but definitely very very stupid. ( He may also be confused but I would need other evidence).

GOP Schrodinger’s mexican- at once both “stealing our jobs” and “too lazy to work”.

That is hilarious.

“They say when he talks about Hannibal Lecter he must be in cognitive trouble. No, these are real stories”

“Lyin’ Kamala also a total radical on a word called imbolen, you know this, right? A word called, what? Abortion.”

“They’re talking about, he’s talking about, she’s talking about re-lifting the retirement age”

“Once we take the White House back from Kamala Harris”

Even if Trump realizes that Hannibal Lecter is a fictional character, when did this character die in the movies or the books? "“Late great”?
