For non-Protestants, “family” means extended family. I’ve known extended families that between first, second, third and fourth cousins, count their children well into the third digit.

No, she’s not alone. I didn’t think any of the full statements read like “dementia”. Colbert made a much better case for that towards the end of this clip (sorry, i don’t know how to point to a particular place.)
And he doesn’t make a case for full out dementia, just “memory is going”.

Maybe it is worse than his baseline, just what is expected with normal aging. The official bit is just that he is, as Walz put it, weird (and not the good weird). Cognitively weak. No change need be claimed but the relatively unengaged may on their own conclude that, as they may have previously not realized how confused he usually is.
These are the images we want being seen and discussed, and it is shocking to me how already the positive of that bloodied face fist in air, against the flag moment has faded into a rolling eyes at his repeated “I took a bullet for democracy” crap.
He is a confused person. Senility and dementia need not apply. Seriously speaking medically though, as very intelligent people age they call on reserves to preserve function and consequently function at fairly high levels for a long time until they fairly suddenly don’t. Trump has little cognitive reserve to call on. I don’t claim that any of these moments are solid evidence of severe cognitive decline, but I suspect in aggregate that they are. Still that should be the quiet part …,

Basically, there is a group called the Anti-Psychopath PAC, which was founded by George Conway (a lawyer and activist who argued and won the Morrison v. National Australia Bank case before SCOTUS in 2010). They have released a political ad that is solely about Trump’s cognitive decline. Much of it should be familiar to anyone who has been following this thread.
