Right this minute, is your bed made?
Is it normally made? Do you make it or does someone else?

Always made. I sleep on top of the comforter, sometimes putting a blanket on me.
Yup, either my wife or I make it every morning.
Nope, it gets made on Sunday when I change the sheets.
Sheets are pulled back airing out, after I spritz the linens this evening I remake it tuck it in plump the pillows and dive in diagonally across my QLM.
What about you?
I got in the habit of making my bed every morning in US Navy boot camp. That particular habit never left me. It’s the first thing I usually do.
Nope. The bed is pretty much never made. Never saw the point.
Not exactly. Very roughly squared up is it’s usual state (comforter, sheets, plus thin fleece blanket as a topper to contain cat hair to an easily washed item). I will fully make it up only when doing a full sheet change which I do every mumble days. Occasionally when I’m feeling a wee bit more slovenly, it doesn’t even get the very rough squared up treatment
I almost never bother to make my bed.
Nope. When i wash the sheets, i make the bed. That’s pretty much the only time i make the bed. If I’m going to use the bed as a clean surface for sitting laundry or packing, I’ll smooth out the covers, but i won’t actually tuck anything in, it even smooth out my husband’s side
Yes. Nearly always. Made before breakfast as a rule.
Yes, and now I have to lie in it.
Sorta made. We pull the sheet and cover(s) mostly smooth when we get up.
Yes, it’s always made except when I am in it sleeping. I’ve been making my bed every day for over 60 years. Some habits are hard to break.
Nope, though because I use a weighted blanket, my side kind of looks a bit like it’s turned down for the night as I just flip one corner over to get up. My husband’s side is much more rumpled.
Yes, made. I didn’t used to, but then discovered I sleep much better in a bed that’s straight. So I worked to develop the habit and never lost it.
It takes about 45 seconds to do. Worth it.
Nope and I stopped using sheets years ago. Just use multiple blankets and a comforter. Sleep between blankets, the amount depends on the weather.
Ditto…I’m part chimp I think which I guess is actually true and my bed is a nest of silk pillows and light covers.
I particularly hate going into hotels with tight sheets that confine my feet
An unmade bed is inviting, I can go upstairs & get right in; don’t need to remove decorative pillow or take off comforters.
& hotel operators, I do not want to sleep in an envelope, sealed up on three sides; before I get in I have to untuck everything so that my feet can move.
I get that, but I once had a good friend who insisted on making the bed very tightly every day because she felt the constriction was comforting when she was going to sleep. Kind of a similar concept to swaddling an infant. I’ve never liked it, but I get it.
Hotels can’t really win on this one, so they go the neater route for presentation’s sake.
