On a road I travel frequently, someone put a “Send Trump to Jail” sticker on the post of the stop sign. I found it a nice little antidote after driving along that road with its barrage of Trump flags, DeSantis yard signs, etc. It lasted about three weeks, but it’s gone now. I’ve been toying with the idea of replacing it.
My antidote for driving along such roads is to seek alternative routes if possible. 
As long as no one sees you replacing that sticker.
I would expect some Trump fans to be potentially violent.

Getting back on topic somewhat, I would tend to disagree with this.
Sure, there are and will be ongoing incidents of right wing violence. But I feel they are on the decline overall.
Most of these right wingers are cowards. They only feel safe acting out on their violent fantasies when they’re in a protected environment. They had that environment for four years but now it’s gone. Most of them have gone back to their basements and won’t do anything more dangerous than posting anonymous threats on the internet.
Your use of “most” is telling.

Yes, there is likely to be occasional and isolated incidents for a while, but there is no “war” to be had here. As stated, these morons are cowards and talk big but are glad to let someone else take all the risks (like their hero). The police and national guard are better trained and better armed than these dipshits. Let them try to organize something - they will be squashed like the vermin they are.
One hopes that the vast, vast majority of these folks are just slightly intelligent enough to realize that one, 10 or 100 people trying to storm an FBI office are going to be met with a greater force, and they’ll end up in a prison cell for a very long time. Likewise, they probably realize that there is no tolerance for storming political buildings, given the prison sentences that have been handed out recently.
Sure, there are a few morons, but 99.99% will realize that a jail term is the only outcome if they commit violence or other crimes.
Agree. And people who do take unlawful action need to be caught and prosecuted, and punished severely, in public. Make an example out of them for the others to see - even the dumbest ones will soon realize it’s just not worth it.
Unfortunately it’s like punishing cats, it just makes them worse.
I don’t know how accurate that is, but even if it is, that could theoretically amount to several million believers who might be willing to give it a go; and that could range from beating up their anti-trump neighbour to attempting to kidnap and/or murder a governor or prominent non-fox media personality. And even if they fail in their ultimate objective that could still entail deaths, injuries and significant property damage.
IMHO the scary thing is that there is a huge population who even thinks that it’s ok to consider this sort of thing.

No, sorry, .01% = .0001, or 7,400 people (in the entire country) if you suppose every single trump voter should be included in the base group.
Of course, that percentage was pulled out of someone’s nether regions, and only time will tell what it should actually be.

A less generous person would have correctly called that a stupid mistake. 
This is all well and good until something creates enough momentum to gather a mob. They feel invincible in numbers, and they have a way of convincing themselves that their numbers are larger than they actually are. I don’t think they’re dumb enough to try another Jan 6th. But more Charlottesvilles, more car mobs.
It’s also important to understand that while a lot of right-winger extremists are poor, disaffected, and desperate, many are property owners and small business owners. Ranchers, farmers, dentists, gunshop owners, etc. They will talk a big game on Facebook, or standing in their front yard. But they won’t actually put their lives or property in harm’s way.
If right-wingers want critical mass, the name of the game is to get an armed liberal mob to attack a conservative demonstration. I feel like that’s what they’re really waiting for and what they really want. No, not “whatabout this guy with a stick”, nobody should bother replying with spontaneous onesie-twosie examples here. I’m talking real numbers of people causing serious injuries with premeditated intent. To date, we haven’t seen left-wingers go that far. I find that surprising. Left-wing militants were much more commonplace in the 1960’s, yet the threat from the right wing in 2022 is significantly more dire than it was back then.
That would put those right wing people in prison and encourage all the members of the left, would it not?
