First?
Yeah me!
We very well may have met then - honestly, about all I remember about that gathering is getting yelled at for putting stuff in the trees. It was 10 years ago after all!
Back from erranding. We had $45 in assorted loose change that we dumped in the credit union’s sorting machine - so yay! Plus our co-op profit sharing check and my whopping $18 take from February sales  gives us a little extra change in the bank. We ran to LexPark so **FCD **could get a piece of glass for a light table. Last stop was the car wash place to get a code for a car wash since we were double charged 2 weeks ago - and now our car is nice and clean, so yay!
I’ve got a couple of loads on the line - one was mostly cleaning rags and the other was all t-shirts. I just finished lunch and I’m about to put on grubbies and start working in the back yard gardens. Fresh air and sunshine!! I may end up sleeping thru MumpFest tonight!!
N.O.L. has been et. I actually feel better. Not great. Still all sniffly and sneezey, but not as bad. Plus it’s been a relatively quiet day on the irkfront which has helped bunches I’m sure.
Ruble yay for bein’ first and second.
Also it’s nice and sunny out. Don’t even need a jacket out there. NICE!!!
URK! Hiya, Bob!
The family is doing better. Mom finally finally retired in January. She is still in decompression mode, but since she’s now at home every day, my father’s cognitive state is considerably better. His short term memory is gone, and he sometimes has trouble recognizing my mom, but he now knows who I am and asks after me. When I call, he’ll talk to me on the phone, and it’s now an actual conversation instead of him trying to put polite sentences in some order.
Me? Work got really bad in February and thanks to the intervention of a different team lead has recently gotten better. There’s a glimmer of hope.
How are you?
Winchester is my dad’s dog’s name. That’s cute
Really? And here we thought we were so original. What kind of dog is he?
A shotgun!
And I quit. Spent about an hour anna half in the yard - raking out some beds, trimming back dead stuff, pruning a few branches off the azaleas, and attempting (HAH!) to clean the mess that is the forsythia hedge along the side fence. There are so many wisteria vines and dead branches there, I had to give up. I see 2 or 3 days of work on that small stretch alone. It’ll have to wait till I transplant my azaleas - maybe some time next week.
Tomorrow, I’m going to reseat a section of garden border - it’s falling over - and place the pavers from the basement door to the clothesline deck. With the dirt nice and wet, it should be fairly easy. I tried working that area last summer when it was dry and brick-like - ugh. So if I can get it set now before it dries out, I should be good.
I kinda wanted to do some more today, but I don’t want to overdo, then spend the next 2 days in agony. So tomorrow, the pavers, then Saturday, I’ll rake out the front garden. That’s the plan, anyway. And we’ll see what happens from there.
In another hour or so, I’ll need to bring in the laundry. Three of the t-shirts are getting iron-ons of “Not my circus, not my monkeys” - one will be in Polish for my mom. Anyway, I’ll try to get those done today, too. And we’ll leave for Annapolis around 6 or so. Better to be a little early than a little late, right? Gotta remember my camera, too, since I don’t have a SMRT phone.
TIMBERRRRRRRRR!!
I was just taking down the clothes off the line, and I noticed that the leaning tree in this pic Is no longer leaning - yay! It had gotten caught in another tree and I always worried that it might fall on Higgs. But it’s been pretty windy today, and it finally hit the ground! YAY!!
It hasn’t reached 60° yet, but it’s nice enough out that just a sweatshirt is sufficient. It can stay this temp for the next 2 months as far as I’m concerned. OK, maybe creep a bit higher so I can open the house. Yay spring!
Well, I got off the waiting list for tonight’s meetup. Too bad I found out after a long, hard day at irk with more on tap for tomorrow. I had to decline. One day I’ll make the night meeting. I guess next time if I sign up and I’m on the waiting list, I’ll just go ahead and decline because I’d like to know if I’m going a day ahead of time so I can plan for it.
In other news, this happened today. Beware the autoplay.
I’ve had an all right day today. Sort of up and down, but a lot of days are. Nothing terribly exciting to report.
Much to do, as always.
should I nap or eat?
Have a small snack, then nap.
Yes!
I had a nap in the bus today. On workdays my afternoon caffeine crash tends to happen at the time I’m on the bus.
hehehe
well, since midget already napped, I’ll eat. A nice Deli dinner is on its way.
Howdy from da cave. Still all ick but not as bad as yestiddy. I’s hongry but can’t deal with the idea of cookin’ so OYKW has gone to swipe the General’s dindin. Maybe some spicey foods will help clear my haid.
Rosie what Drae said. Have a nosh, then a nap, then another nosh.
{{{roo}}} welcome back! Glad the family is doin’ better and that irk is at least slightly less irksome.
I foresee another Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] induced sleep tonight.
Well, I just checked the website of our newspaper and one TV station and it’s for real.
Fred is gone. There will be no funeral, as they don’t want to give folks the chance to do unto them as they have done unto others.
How is today different from all other days?
