No complaints on that front - we don’t argue about money or much of anything else.
But the sun… maybe it could make an effort to peek out just a teeny bit more soon? We still have snow on the ground and, although the weather persons are making noises that yes, we will get some warmth and sun, maybe even starting today, the sun showed itself for about 20 minutes this morning and now it’s back to cold and gray outside. Getting depressing.
I have a mini-sad. I’m still slightly bummed about life as a whole, tearing up very easily.
I just got off the phone with a client who has a lovely accent. The same exact accent as my grandmother had. Said my name with the same funny little infliction.

I’m a little confused about the hostility towards the teacher and the assumption that she must be racist. Isn’t black history month racist? And wouldn’t asking when we can have an (anything else) month just be push back against the racism?

Idiot #1. I called you back, and like you did, left you a voice mail. In that voice mail, which took about a minute of time, I answered every question you had on YOUR voice mail and promised to follow up with details in an email. There is no reason to call back 4 minutes later and ask me to repeat all the information because you didn’t bother to check said voice mail. If you have a question or need a clarification, fine. But thats not what you needed. Rather than taking down my information, which was clear, concise and to the point, you decided to waste ANOTHER 7 minutes of my time asking the same exact stupid questions you asked in YOUR voicemail, as well as taking up my valuable time with small talk, and clouding the topic with additional stupid questions. CHECK YOUR VOICE MAIL. That was why it was invented. This is not a midnight 800 chat line.
Idiot #2. You can call me two, three four hundred times without leaving a voicemail, I WILL pick up the phone and take your call when I AM READY TO DO SO. I didnt pick up the phone the first time you called. Obviously, I was not in a position to do so. Constantly harassing me with call after call every 3 minutes then hanging up when I dont answer will not increase the urgency of whatever stupid thing that you need any more. Leave a voice mail or text.
Idiot #3. “More can be accomplished with one phone call than with several emails” email signature. On . . an email. Um, no not always, GRANDAD. Imagine if Alexander Graham Bell called his friend, and his friend said, you know what Alex, instead of this 30 second phone call, why dont you sit, spend half an hour writing a letter, and Ill get it a month later via Pony Express? Look, I know you are in your 60s, and maybe technology has passed you by. But email can be quick, efficient, and in most, not all cases a great way to communicate. Theres no reason to respond to every fucking email I send to you with a phone call. You have a laptop. You have an iPad (which I am guessing still isn’t turned on) and you have a iPhone. Assuming you know how to use the English language and keyboard, you can easily respond to my quick email with another quick email. Theres no reason for you to call me every single fucking time I send you an email. Get with it, or retire.
